Backing up and restoring files
Backing up your data

Automatic Data Protection
Use Automatic Data Protection to schedule regular backups. Backups
created with Automatic Data Protection are initially set to back up all the
files on your computer, but the file list and most other settings can be
changed later using the Backup window.
To use Automatic Data Protection:
1 Choose Tools > Automatic Data Protection.
The Automatic Data Protection window appears.
2 Enter a time and day for the backup to run in the areas provided.
Choose one of the following options for the day:
■
a day of the week (for example, Monday)
■
Day
■
Weekday
If you choose a day of the week, the New and changed files option is
available. If you choose Day or Weekday, the New and changed files
option is not available.
